Fire EMS CountdownPrivacy Policy
Short version: what you type into the calculator stays on your own device. We don't collect your name, email, certificates or hours. We don't use cookies, and we don't sell anything about you.
What you enter in the calculator
- Your certificates, dates, hours and birthday are saved only in your own browser, using its built-in "local storage." Nothing you enter is sent to us or to anyone else.
- We can't see, recover or delete those entries for you. To erase them, use Remove Certificate in the app, or clear this site's data in your browser settings.
- There are no accounts, logins or sign-up forms.
Visitor counts
- We count page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It doesn't use cookies. Cloudflare says it "does not collect or use your visitors' personal data" (Cloudflare). We see totals, like page views and which sites sent visitors, not who you are.
- The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles your IP address and basic browser details to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- We don't use advertising, tracking pixels, or cookies of our own.
If you email us
If you write to hello@fireemscountdown.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and to improve the site, and we don't add you to any mailing list. Please don't include patient, department or other private information.
Sharing
We don't sell, rent or trade information. We only share what's described above with Cloudflare so it can run the site, or when the law requires it.
Children
This site is for working fire and EMS professionals. It isn't meant for children under 13.
Changes
If we add features that collect information, such as email reminders, we'll update this policy and the date at the top before they go live.
